I’m excited to share some of my favorite Christmas stories with you. Click on any cover to visit the book on Amazon.
One Enchanted Christmas, One Enchanted Eve, One Enchanted Noel
This is a novella collection featuring three stories set in Melissa’s charming fictional town of Maple Valley, Iowa. Each novella stars one of the Renwycke siblings. I love all three stories. The first one is a little whimsical, the second one takes a disliked character from the first book and gives him a redemption arc, and I confess the third one is my favorite just because of how it resonated with me personally. It also won a Carol Award, so I’m not the only one in thinking it’s a little extra special.

“Kiss Me on Christmas” by Sarah Monzon
This book was a 2023 Christy Award finalist, and I thought it was deserving of that honor. The story is about a single mom and her neurodivergent son having to travel for the holidays to help with a family wedding, and on the way they meet her son’s favorite YouTuber, who happens to be the best man at the same wedding. I loved the hero in this story, and another thing that made it stand out was that the son is patterned with permission after the author’s own child, so Sarah is able to write with authenticity and realism about the joys and challenges of being neurodivergent.

“All’s Fair in Love and Christmas” by Sarah Monzon
Workplace rivals who are battling for a promotion try to out-Christmas the other to gain favor with their boss. This one has lots of holiday spirit and explores what makes Christmas special to each person in their office. If you like to go all-out with Christmas traditions, this one is for you.
“Sinclair Sisters Trilogy” by Jaycee Weaver
This and Every Christmas, Now and Forever Christmas, Not Another Christmas
These novellas feature three sisters who grew up in a Christmas-obsessed family, and in each book we get flashbacks to their childhood traditions as well as their present-day romances. The first two books spend a lot of time at a Christmas tree farm in the mountains of northern New Mexico, while the third story takes Christmas to the beach with its Florida setting. It’s fun to follow the family not only as they grow up in the past but also as they grow throughout the series.

“The Port Willis Holiday Collection” by Lindsay Harrel
Like a Winter Snow, Like a Christmas Dream, Like a Silver Bell, Like a Holiday Inn
If you’d like to have an international Christmas holiday, you can venture to the fictional town of Port Willis in Cornwall, England. These stories are delightful and charming while also featuring relatable characters who deal with real life circumstances. Christmas can be stressful, especially if you’re planning a holiday wedding, running a bed and breakfast, or dealing with a broken family. But even when life is complicated, Christmas can still be something special.
“Restoring Christmas” by Cynthia Ruchti
Our heroine has one shot at landing her own home remodeling show, but a replacement videographer and a stubborn homeowner are not making it easy. This Carol Award-winning short novel explores the possibility of finding stillness in a hectic season, and is for readers who enjoy DIY projects or watching shows like Fixer Upper.
“An Endless Christmas” by Cynthia Ruchti
Christmas takes a turn when the guests of honor break up instead of announcing their engagement—and they’re still stuck for the length of the holiday with his family in a rural Minnesota farmhouse. This story looks at the true meaning of Christmas and how the love of Christ and love for one another can prevail even over hurts and awkwardness.
“A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens
If you’ve never read this holiday classic, now is the time! Read along as the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future teach Ebenezer Scrooge what is truly important. This story is only five chapters long, so it’s one of the easiest Dickens stories to read, and is well worth your time.
